Zagazig University Hospital is the teaching hospital of the Faculty of Medicine at Zagazig University. The primary partitions of the Faculty of Medicine and its hospital established at Zagazig university under the supervision of the corresponding sections of the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University then the Faculty of Medicine of Zagazig separated from the Faculty of Medicine of Ain Shams in 1974. And the total number of the doctors became 17 doctors and the total number of the nursing staff became twice that number, and the total number of beds became 320 beds. And each of the six sections surgical operations room had desk operations in addition to six beds attached to surgical operations.

Such as the October War of 1973 has been prepared the hospitals of Zagazig university as a  field hospital, as the hospital turned to tactical hospital (emergency military operations), and hospital had received 4300 an infected military operations from the sixth night of October and over the next 12 days.
